World Language

The study of language helps to develop an appreciation and understanding of other cultures. In addition, the study of foreign languages deepens the aesthetic values of students and enhances the level of their own cultural development. GSAD currently offers courses in French and German.

World Language courses offered at GSAD include the following:

  • Introduction to French 
  • French 7, 8
  • French I, II, III
  • German 7, 8
  • German I, II, III

What is Atlas Rubicon? Print

Atlas Rubicon is the web based platform selected by GSAD to facilitate electronic curriculum mapping in all its courses, including French, Social Studies, Mathematics, IT, PE, Science, Fine Arts, Arabic, and English. Supporting both Arabic and English, Atlas is used by all faculty.

Atlas Rubicon mapping software provides the following features:

  • Provides an overview of what is actually happening in the classroom
  • Gives a context for looking at a student’s actual experience over time
  • Offers a way to see  “the big picture”
  • Identifies gaps and repetitions
  • Aligns curriculum with standards
  • Highlights best practices
  • Encourages collaboration
  • Facilitates new course design
